The Cuckoo Club

From 4th to 7th July 2012 London’s prestigious Cuckoo Club will be the location of A Piece On The Side, a new pop-up restaurant headed up by Eloise Schwerdt, formerly of Petersham Nurseries.

Eloise Schwerdt, 25 years old, has worked under Skye Gyngell in the kitchens of the Michelin starred Petersham Nurseries for the past two years.

She is now working on a new food project with Skye that will launch later this year, but in the meantime has chosen The Cuckoo Club for her latest project, a pop-up restaurant called A Piece On The Side.

For £45 per person (excluding beverages), guests will receive the following three-course set-menu dinner, made from sustainable ingredients and from the same suppliers as Petersham Nurseries:

Starter

Heritage tomatoes with goats curd, zartar, purple basil and bruschetta.

Main

Fillet of beef with roasted beetroots, baby carrots, domestica rocket, horseradish cream and salsa verde.

Vegetarian option: Roasted vegetables with turmeric dressing, domestica rocket and bhatura

Dessert

Baklava ice cream with pistachios and viola flowers.

The pop up will be open from 8pm til 11pm every night with last orders at 10pm.

For reservations people can call The Cuckoo Club on 0207 287 4300 or email claire@thecuckooclub.com. People are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment as places are limited.
