Perfect timing for the BBQ season are three new delicious dipping sauces from Sweet Mandarin. Choose from Barbecue, Sweet Chilli and Sweet & Sour, to give an authentic Chinese twist to your alfresco dining this summer.
The range was launched because the customers at the Sweet Mandarin Restaurant in Manchester began to request if they could take home the exotic flavours and recipes used in the Sweet Mandarin kitchen. Twin sisters Helen and Lisa Tse opened their Sweet Mandarin restaurant in Manchester’s Northern Quarter in 2004, and they became the fourth generation in their family to make and sell food for a living.
Inspired by their heritage, the sisters established Sweet Mandarin for its modern, innovative take on authentic Chinese home cooking and in doing so, won Best Local Chinese Restaurant in Gordon Ramsay’s F Word.
Each sauce is hand mixed by chef Lisa Tse in the Sweet Mandarin kitchen and uses secret recipes passed down through generations, with a modern twist. For zingy taste to your stir fry’s or dips add some Sweet Chilli sauce which has an exciting concoction of fresh red chillies mixed with garlic and vinegar that tickles the tongue. The classic Sweet & Sour sauce of can also be used as a sauce or to dip your spring rolls in.
