MADD Artist of the Year

MADD, the UK’s first mango dessert bar located on Rupert Street, Soho has launched a competition, ‘The MADD Artist of the Year’, to find new and emerging creative talent.

Designs are submitted via MADD’s ‘Blank Canvas’ postcards and can be a doodle, a painting or anything that shows creativity or upload your entry to Facebook or Twitter. The winning artist will be commissioned to design a number of wall/window vinyls for MADD based on their winning design, as well as winning a year’s worth of MADD treats and receiving extensive press coverage. As MADD is in the centre of Soho, the main hub for design companies and agencies in London, it will be a great chance for artists to promote their work.

The team at MADD will pick their ten favourite designs and this will be whittled down to three by the editor of the leading arts and culture website ‘Culture Compass’, Loma-Ann Marks and the editor-in-chief of the art and lifestyle blog Yin&Yang, Niran Vinod,. Their top three designs from the list will be uploaded to Facebook with the winning design being the entry with most ‘likes’. Closing date for entries will be 5th June and all entries will be uploaded to Facebook for those who entered through Twitter or in store. The top ten will be announced on 11th June, the top three on 13th June and the final winner on 22nd June.
