Be At One
London-based bar group Be At One has unveiled plans to open its latest cocktail bar in the heart of the City.
The 2000 sq ft bar on Gresham Street will be the company’s 13th London venue and will feature all of the hallmarks of the Be At One brand together with some new innovations including a food offering.
Be At One is partnering with noted restaurateur Ossie Gray, formerly of the River Café, and will be producing light plates and tapas-style dishes with a European flavour.
While this is a new development for the bar chain, the main focus is still to serve fantastic cocktails with the food as an additional complement.
Be At One will invest circa £650,000 transforming the former Bar Battu restaurant into a friendly destination where guests will enjoy excellent cocktails from the extensive list of 160 cocktails with Be At One’s trademark unpretentious service.
The investment will include a total refurbishment of the downstairs bar, together with the addition of a new bar in the upstairs area, making it ideal for private parties.
Guests will be able to reserve areas for free, so they are guaranteed personal, friendly service in an atmosphere where they can truly be at one.
Opening at the beginning of October, Be At One has employed 10 full-time bartenders with great personalities who are fanatical about delivering fantastic service. The team is already in training to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge to deliver every cocktail on the 160-strong menu to Be At One’s high standards.
The cocktails range from classics such as Mojitos and Old Fashioned to those which guarantee to get the evening off to a flying start such as The English Fizz – a refreshing mix of Gin, Cucumber syrup and Elderflower topped with soda. Be At One also serves a selection of bottled beers and wines.
Commenting on the acquisition, Steve Locke, Director at Be At One said: “This is a fantastic City site, we feel that Gresham St is crying out for a top quality cocktail bar.
“Over the past 14 years Be At One has grown by staying focused on delivering great cocktails, service and atmosphere when it comes to hosting our guests. We are looking forward to partnering with Ossie Gray and his team as his simple, high-quality cuisine will be the ideal accompaniment to what we do.”
Be At One already operates 12 London bars including Monument, Putney and Covent Garden. For further information on Be At One please visit www.beatone.co.uk.
